I am reading a very delightful book; it is the story about Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger called, “Highest Duty.” His parents are just delightful too, so it’s no wonder he is so interesting. I know you know that he is the man who landed the plane in the Hudson River. I wonder if any of us have ridden in a plane piloted by him. I wish all pilots were as careful.
The flu bug got me in the past week. I was so miserable but it didn’t last long.
It is time to get out the green St. Patrick’s Day is here. That does mean that spring is approaching. What a long cold winter we had.
Time to think of spring cleaning. My mother used to go after it with a vengeance. Winter bedding out to air, carpets hanging on lines, and the big wire beater in action. Windows shined until they sparkled. Be careful you might be tossed in the washtub.
The Marion girls basketball team was great. We are so proud of them.
When I was in high school we didn’t have a regular team but all had to take it. I hated it. I didn’t want a big old ball thrown in my face. It was taught by Edna Shahan, a young woman who worked in the pharmacy.
My husband became a basketball coach for his first year out of college. His uncle talked him into joining him in business, thank goodness.
