Random Thoughts
Now I know why the government is encouraging space flights. I saw a show on TV last week that was prepared by Bob Woodward, the guy who brought down Nixon. The show was about what happens with global warming. The idea is to move people to another planet. Imagine everyone being sent by rocket to another planet. We will have to start from scratch to build a new nation. It will be a harder life than the people who came across the Atlantic to build the U.S.
Do you worry about such happenings? I don’t think I can handle it.
I just read the book, “Dewey.” I really didn’t want to read it but it was about a golden-haired cat, which had been dumped as a kitten in the book box at a library in Spencer, Iowa. It was the true story about the librarian and the life of Dewey. You will not believe what you read. I recommend it — something different.
What is happening in Marion County? There was Chingawassa Days, when Margaret Wolf and I would spend the whole day in the park. Symphony in the Flint Hills is coming up, as is Fourth of July in Peabody. We just don’t have time to work.
Has the recession hit us? Are we out of work? We just don’t have time to figure it all out. I wish I could take part.
