COLUMNS:   Random Thoughts

Maybe we all should have our names on stars and placed in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

I may not have that, but I do have a certificate that my nieces Jean and Barbara have bestowed upon me. This certificate says I have received legal ownership to a star in the bright blue heavens above us. That is permanent ownership.

Now my granddaughter Kathy Nicholson of McPherson has given me a certificate with information that a microchip of information has been placed in a packet that will go to Mars; 200 microchips are already spoken for.

Strange things are found on planes. A foot-long crocodile has been found on a plane at an airport in Cairo. Why didn’t something like that happen when I was on a plane?

The only thing I can think of was a scream. My daughter Wanda and I were flying over part of China when a woman screamed. Of course, all the passengers jumped up to see what was happening. Once everybody settled down, the staff told us the woman screamed because a man was lighting a cigarette in a non-smoking area.

Well, we have had to say good-bye to another friend, Dennis Youk. None of us realized that he was so ill.
