Resident says she didn’t do anything wrong

To the editor:

This is written in response to a neighbor’s complaint about my brother and sister shooting fireworks.

They followed city laws. My sister even went to the city office to find out time limits in shooting fireworks and followed it completely. This is a once a year celebration and people should be able to tolerate it.

This same neighbor some years ago had two hunting dogs that constantly barked all night, keeping some of us awake. Did we go around complaining about that to others or even call the police on it? No, we were tolerant of it.

It’s a shame they can’t follow suit. You know it seems people in this community can’t remember when they were young and liked to do fun things even if it was noisy, etc.

It’s so petty the things that people complain about nowadays when there are worse things to worry about.
