Richard L. ‘Dick’ Maggard

Richard L. “Dick” Maggard, 64, passed away March 21, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born May 16, 1947, in Marion, the son of Charles R. and Helen Kohls Maggard. He proudly served his country with the United States Army.

On Oct. 19, 1985, he was united in marriage to Carol Caselman.

Dick was the Transportation Supervisor for USD 408.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Carol of Marion; his daughter, Jenny of Los Angeles, Calif.; his siblings, Dennis (Janice) of Marion and Tena (Kenny) Lundgren of Marion; and mother-in-law, Ruth Caselman of Marion.

The visitation was held on Thursday at Zeiner Funeral Home. The funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2012, at the Marion Christian Church.

Memorial funds have been established for Marion Christian Church, Hospice Care of Kansas,and the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS 66861.
