Richmond going to national tourney

Marion High School junior Megan Richmond and her 16-and-under fast-pitch softball team, the Emporia Energy will compete in a national championship tournament in Columbus, Wis.

The Energy placed second recently in a state tournament in Emporia A total of 64 teams will compete nationally. The team is trying to raise $4,000 for the trip. Anyone wishing to contribute can call Richmond at (620) 382-2763.
