Robert Risenhoover

Robert Neal Risenhoover Jr., 66, former owner of MarBowl Lanes, Marion, and PlaBowl Lanes, Herington, died Friday at Legacy Park, Peabody.

Born May 22, 1943, in Galesburg, Ill., to Dorothy and Robert Risenhoover Sr., he was raised at Wichita Children’s Home.

He attended cosmetology school and Wichita State University and served in the Army in Vietnam.

In addition to owning bowling facilities, he spent summers refinishing bowling lanes throughout Kansas.

Survivors include a son, Mick, of Wichita, and two stepchildren, Heather Hughes and Art Hughes of Herington.

No services are scheduled.

A memorial fund has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.
