Rosalene Stinchcomb
Rosalene A. Stinchcomb, 88, passed away May 25, at St. Luke Hospital, Marion.
She was born Oct. 27, 1922, in Marion County, the daughter of Boyd Victor and Hazel (Jones) Higgins.
She was a graduate of Marion High School.
On Oct. 8, 1943, she married Charles F. Stinchcomb. They farmed and she was the Centre High School cook for many years. She was active in the Order of Eastern Star, was a Girl Scout Leader, 4-H Leader, and active in the Lincolnville United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert; and siblings Bill Higgins, Leona Helmer, Jessie Bowers, and Ethel Collett.
She is survived by husband Charles of Marion; children Charlene Janzen and husband Ralph of Hillsboro; Charles and wife Barbara of Russell; Michael and wife Emma of Solomon; Susan and husband Richard Mueller of Mentor; and Blaine and wife Bonnie of Canadian, Texas; siblings Boyd Higgins and wife Virginia of Hutchinson, John Higgins of Topeka, Hazel Selvey of Colorado Springs, Colo., Sandy Doty and husband Gail of Wichita; and Karen Sue Smith-Higgins of Hutchinson; 13 grandchildren; and 53 great-grandchildren.
Visitation with family was 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.
Services were 2 p.m., Tuesday at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Marion.
