Ruby Friesen

Ruby V. Friesen, 84, Hillsboro, died Sept. 15 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.

Born July 16, 1925, in Peabody to Jacob and Martha (Franzen) Klein, she was married July 15, 1945, in Peabody to Carl H. Friesen, who preceded her.

She was a homemaker and mother and a member of the First Mennonite Church.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis of Herington and Gary of Hutchinson; two daughters, Sally Neufeld of Inman and Brenda Maddox of Marion; two brothers, Marvin Klein of Amarillo, Texas, and Hubert Klein of Medford, Okla.; two sisters, Thelma Layton of Wichita and Joey Landis of Long Island, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services were Sept. 18 at First Mennonite Church, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Randy Smith officiating. Burial was at Haven of Rest Cemetery in rural Hillsboro.

A memorial fund has been established with the church and Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.
