Ruth Goentzel

Ruth M. Goentzel, 93, of Hillsboro died July 13 at Salem Home in Hillsboro.

Born Feb. 1, 1916, to Pete and Mary (Goertz) Goentzel, she was a candler in the milk and egg departments of Tip Top Dairy of Hillsboro.

Survivors include two nieces and caregivers, Sharon Bartel and Judy Jantz, both of Hillsboro.

Services were Wednesday afternoon at Eastmoor United Methodist Church of Marion with the Rev. Mike Eurit officiating.

Burial was at Canada Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to Salem Home or the church.
