Sandra L. Ethem, 65, died Nov. 20, 2011. She had been a rural Florence resident since 2005 and she was a retired secretary.

She was born Feb. 25, 1946 in Louisville, Ky., to Jessie and Hester Middleton Holthouser.

She married Henry Ethem on Jan. 29, 2004, in Las Vegas. They made their home in California and moved to Florence in 2005 to retire.

She is survived by her husband, Henry; her mother; and a sister, Janie, of Louisville, Ky.
