We are enjoying the flowers brought in by those whose talent results in iris and peonies for the senior center.
Again we are guessing the total amount in our penny jar. Some people are good at this and have come close to the actual amount.
For those who receive “Capper’s,” the May issue includes a letter from Blanche Cowan and a photo of her yo-yo quilt. She used 1,784 yo-yos in this project.
Ann Boese celebrated her birthday with us May 18.
Senior Center Day was May 20. A monthly business meeting was held and a program was arranged by Virginia Downing. Gwen Gaines talked about the silkworm industry in Peabody. She brought some exhibits from Peabody Historical Museum.
