SENIOR CENTER:   Schmidt family dancers perform

Marion Senior Center

Young dancers from the Schmidt family entertained a lunch crowd May 25 at Marion Senior Center.

Amber Schmidt danced and choreographed the program. Her brothers, Aiden and Abram, joined in on one dance.

A program on mobility is planned for June 8. A Veterans Administration representative will be at the center June 14.

Members of the board of directors of Senior Citizens of Marion County dined at the center May 20. Harlow Warneke grilled hamburgers.

Madonna Schafers brought a vase of irises May 19, and Jean Bailey celebrated her birthday. Joan Meyer celebrated her birthday by bringing treats May 23.

The center sold four sets of embroidered tea towels when directors of the Area Agency on Aging visited earlier in the month. A woman from Council Grove donated a “Marionopoly” game she had found at a thrift shop.

Ed Riffel installed signs designating parking spaces for people with disabilities.
