The annual reunion of the descendants of Fred and Mary Schneider gathered Sept. 28, 2008, at the Golden Age community room, Herington.

The committee for this year’s reunion was Anna Mae Stika, Millie Rowe, and Alice Wendt. Door prizes were won by Kellie Olson, Norma Olson, George Schlesener, Haylie Olson, and William Bron.

Those in attendance were Christine Trapp, Millie Rowe, Alice Wendt, Duane Brunner, George and Mary Ann Schlesener, Norma Olson, all of Herington; Nancy Clore, Derby; Jack and Brenda Olson, Enterprise; Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Tampa; John, Melissa and Cade Rose, Salina; Jeff Wendt, McPherson; Glenn and Beryll Wendt, Salina; Lucas, Courtney, William and Steven Born, Overland Park; and Steven, Kellie and Haylie Olson, Abilene.

In 2008, there were two births, one marriage, and no deaths. There were 24 in attendance.

The date of the next reunion is set for Sept. 26, 2010. It was decided not to have a reunion in 2009. The committee for the 2010 reunion are Millie Rose, Christine Trapp, and Anna Mae Stika.
