Screening to raise money for mission trip

Marion Christian Church will screen the 2014 film “Left Behind,” starring Nicolas Cage, at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, to help Marion High School alumnus Isaac Baldwin raise $2,000 for a May mission trip to Puerto Penasco, Mexico.

“We will be serving the people of the city by providing a variety of types of medical care, and spreading the Gospel,” Baldwin wrote. “This opportunity is really an answer to a prayer. I believe that God has called me to a life in ministry through medical mission work.”

He will be part of a group of Colorado Christian University students.

“We are putting on this movie to help Isaac raise money for his mission trip,” pastor Carl Helm said. “Isaac is a good boy. We want to help him realize what he’s been called to do.”

Donations may be given to Helm or Baldwin’s parents, Dan and Laura Baldwin.

“I am confident that God will use this time to physically and spiritually heal the people of Puerto Penasco, and also prepare me for a life of service,” Isaac Baldwin said.
