Center gets new carpeting
Marion Senior Center correspondent
Volunteers moved furniture back and forth as new carpet was laid at the senior center June 26 and 27. The center is preparing to host the 50th annual meeting of Senior Citizens of Marion County in October.
Vivian Conyers brought treats June 25 to celebrate her birthday.
Merle Ecklund played his accordion June 30 with Deb Harrington accompanying him by singing familiar songs. The duo will return in August for another performance.
An old fashioned singalong is planned July 14 by Sue Clough and Shirley Bowers.
