We have now recovered from our exciting Elvis experience! There were six members from the Elvis Fan Club of Salina in attendance Jan. 8, and other fans from out-of-town. Come see the jigsaw puzzle the jigsaw puzzle that was a struggle for the guys. It’s a shimmering 3-D of a jailhouse-rocking Elvis.
Thelma Blosser celebrated her birthday Jan. 9, and she wore her special birthday hat.
As our regular diners know, we have two “hat ladies,” Thelma and Norine Holtsclaw, who wear hats here every day.
Joyce Jackson celebrated her birthday with us Jan. 12.
Keith Holtsclaw brought some artwork for our easel, which had been empty too long.
We surprised Theresa Graham, our assistant cook, Jan. 14 on her birthday. There was a cake provided by a friend with two packages of candles lighted for her to blow out.
Mary Beth Bowers gave a program on gourds. She can make any topic fascinating.
