Kansas Day was Thursday so I asked everyone eating at the center if they were born in Kansas or are transplants to our state. Regardless of the answers, we are all proud Kansans!
We celebrated “big time” Jan. 23 for Darrell and Beulah Weigart’s 60th wedding anniversary. Their family provided a cake and our in-house cake cutter and server did the honors. The Weigart’s brought cookies to celebrate their daughter, Julie Neuwirth’s, birthday Jan. 22.
Carolan McFarland provided a program Jan. 28 about stress. We formed a large circle and gave each other shoulder massages.
People are encouraged to wear red Friday as part of heart month recognition.
