The cooler fall weather has invigorated us and we are in full creative mode! We are working on a special cardboard box day, since Ivanlee Timm keeps trying to give us the boxes that arrive weekly. This led to Theresa Graham and me thinking we could offer a workshop for the other senior centers on creativity in the workplace!
Shirley Bowers brought treats for her birthday Oct. 3. She also placed a candy kiss at each place.
I was the speaker at Chat ānā Dine Oct. 4. The potluck food was very good and I told them more than they wanted to know about the senior center.
A group of people went to Rolling Hills Wildlife refuge near Salina Oct. 7. Leonard Klassen drove the van. Going along were Keith and Norine Holtsclaw, Herb and Joyce Jackson, Shirley Moore, Marilyn Geis, Dalene Tharp, Marquetta Eilerts, Gerri Williams and Jackie Hett.
Our financial adviser program was postponed due to the current stress-filled financial time we are in.
Hospice volunteers will meet at 3 p.m. Oct. 16 at the center.
Flu shots will be given here Oct. 21 from 1-3 p.m.
Come join us Oct. 22. Marion city economic development coordinator Doug Kjellin will give the program after lunch.
