CORRESPONDENTS:   Senior Center

Marion Senior Center correspondent

A couple of rainy days dampened our spirits, and our attendance. We bounced back nicely with 64 people eating lunch Senior Center Day, Oct. 15. After lunch, Ray Davidson played his harmonica and recited cowboy poetry. What talent!

Evelyn Obermeyer has joined our dining room volunteers. Bigger crowds mean more work for these hard working people.

Lea Stueve, legislative assistant to Congressman Jerry Moran, stopped by Oct. 13. She’s from the Olpe area so is familiar with Kansas issues.

Mary Ann Wiens brought Helen Jantz to eat on Helen’s birthday. Remember to celebrate your special days with us.

Come join us on Oct. 29, when Mary Beth Bowers will do a bread -making demonstration. There will be bread to eat!
