Besides food and fun, senior citizens also heard information May 27 about nutrition and health. The group learned that lying takes more energy than telling the truth and that pets keep people healthy, and they participated in a test about dementia.
Participants took a quiz about Memorial Day.
Almeda Kahns brought treats for her birthday, which was June 1. Marion Assisted Living residents came to the center to try the enchiladas.
The congregate average for meals in May was 53 — one more than in April.
Nancy Marr gave a presentation June 2, showing antique items.
Senior Center Day will be June 16 and Anita Hancock’s piano students will perform.
