Sharlene Lynette Brooks, 45, died Saturday at her home in Peabody. She battled cancer for nearly four years.

She was born Aug. 8, 1967 to LeRoy Fredrick Brunner and Eleanor Louise (Gaines) Brunner in Newton.

She married Harold Junior Brooks Nov. 16, 1985. He survives in Peabody.

She worked as the USD 398 District Clerk.

She also is survived by son Christopher Frederick Brooks and daughter Heather Ann Brooks.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home in Peabody. A service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Peabody United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Ragland officiating.
