Thefts

Edwin H. Robinson, 206 W. 11th St., Florence, reported someone removed a padlock from the south side of a small building, east of a machine shop at 2660 U.S. 50, Florence, Jan. 13 and removed a Coleman 6500 W generator, a Fimco 25-gallon sprayer, a 75-foot log chain, and a 200-foot roll of wire, with a total value of $1,075.

Kevin C. Robinson, 915 Marion St., Florence, reported someone entered the same property on the same day and removed a 2005 Chevrolet one-ton diesel dually pickup truck and a radiator for a semi with a total value of $21,500.

Vandalisms

The City of Marion reported Dec. 21 that someone used spray paint to mark a cement wall in Central Park. The damage was estimated at $25.

A rear window of an apartment at 900½ E. Main St., Marion was broken Feb. 4 but no items were removed. Damages were estimated at $100.

Theft

Megan E. Gutsch, 317 S. Freeborn St., Marion, reported someone used her credit card Jan. 13 without her permission, purchasing a total of $101 of merchandise.

Attempted theft

Someone attempted to siphon fuel from a vehicle owned by Phyllis E. Burns of Herington on Jan. 23, while it was parked at 621 S. Roosevelt St., Marion.

Driving without license

An officer stopped a vehicle at 11:50 a.m. Jan. 27 in the 300 block of South Freeborn Street, Marion, for a defective mirror. The driver did not have a driver’s license.

Battery

An individual believed to be intoxicated became angry and grabbed another person at 10:45 p.m. Jan. 27 at 709 S. Roosevelt St., Marion. The suspect had to be physically removed.

Disorderly conduct

An individual used vulgar language and threatened parents at 6:23 p.m. Feb. 1 at 704 N. Cedar St., Marion.

Violation of a protection order

Two incidents occurred when an individual reported she had been contacted on a cell phone by someone who is not to contact her because she had filed a protection from abuse order against him. The incidents occurred Feb. 4 and 6.
