A driver lost control of his vehicle Oct. 16 on 250th Road, Marion, causing the vehicle to drive through a ditch, fence, and pasture, sideswiping a utility pole.

The driver then exited the field and had someone pull the vehicle to his home, failing to report the incident to authorities. The driver was located and charged with failure to report vehicle accident and driving with expired liability insurance.

Damages to the fence, fence posts, and a cattle guard were $1,040.
