The following reports were provided this week by the sheriff’s office:
Thefts at campsites at Marion Reservoir
Craig Lawson, Burlington, reported someone entered his campsite on Pawnee Road at Marion Reservoir between 10 p.m. Sept. 3 and 6:30 a.m. Sept. 4, and took two replica Desert Eagle pellet pistols, two fishing poles, and two nylon bags containing games. The total loss was valued at $350.
At 11:30 p.m. Sept. 4, Brian Jordan of Emporia reported a blue and white Rubbermaid cooler and food were taken from his campsite on Pawnee Road. The loss was valued at $60.
Four-wheeler stolen on U.S. 50, Peabody
A Polaris Ranger 700 four-wheeler was taken between 6 p.m. Sept. 4 and 6:15 p.m. Sept. 6, west of Sunflower Road on U.S. 50. Arnolds Custom Seeding of Keenesburg, Colo., reported that unknown individuals entered a construction site and cut a lock to remove the vehicle. The loss was valued at $8,000.
