Simons leads Centre track team at league meet

Cacey Simons was the only Centre track team member to earn a first-place finish Friday at the league meet in Goessel. She won high jump by clearing the rod at 4 feet and 6 inches.
Her twin brother, Ty, placed second in the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 16.9 seconds.
Other second-place finishers were: Shelby Makovec in the 1,600-meter run at 6:26.5, and the 3,200 at 14:17.2; and Brenna Shields in the 100-meter dash at 13.4, and the 400 at 1:07.
