Centre High School track teams competed against several larger schools Friday at the Hillsboro invitational.
The girls team finished 11th of 12, and the boys team finished 11th of 11. Despite their overall standings, several individuals had top-six finishes.
Carlye Simons led the way with a second-place finish in the finals of the girls 100-meter hurdles. With a run of 18.67 seconds, she beat her sixth-place preliminary run of 19.08.
Trevor Troutt finished fourth in boys discus with a throw of 140 feet, 8.25 inches. Theo Kassebaum finished fourth in girls 300m hurdles with a time of 55.32.
Fifth-place finishers were Ellie Miller in girls high jump, 4-4, and Josie Peterson in girls javelin, 98-1.
Sixth-place finishers were Peterson in girls discus, 92-7, and Kassebaum in girls long jump, 14-9.75.
A girls 4x100 relay team of Samantha Seifert, Kassebaum, Simons, and Genesis Rudolph finished in fifth place with a time of 57.77.
A boys 4x100 relay team of Khusrov Mirov, Houston Svoboda, Cole Svoboda, and Rustyn Kerbs finished in sixth place with a time of 48.76.
