Arnie and Judy Sommerfeld, Durham, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at 7 p.m. Aug. 2 at Zion Lutheran Church in Newton. 

Arnie and the former Judy Keller were married July 31, 1964 in Canton.  He is retired from farming and construction, and she is employed by Maleta Forsberg.

The Sommerfelds have two daughters, Angie Staley and husband Kevin of Newton, and Anita Rogers and husband Kenny of Offerle.  They have two grandchildren and one great-grandson.
