Chrystiana Voth, a 2009 graduate of Goessel High School and a freshman at Kansas State University, was awarded a $500 scholarship from Alpha Omega Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma for the 2010-11 school year.

The award is presented to a female high school senior or college student pursuing a degree in education.

In high school, Voth was in charge of the prom committee her junior year, vice president of student council, and managing editor of the school yearbook staff. She participated in on-the-job-training at a local preschool in Goessel and was a student aide at Goessel Elementary School.

At KSU, she belonged to the Kansas National Education Association student program and worked at a child development center in Manhattan.

She is an accomplished dancer, and choreographed and performed in recitals and at church.

Delton and Janice Voth of Goessel are her parents.
