The price of postage is about to go up. The Postal Regularity Commission approved a price hike of 3 cents for first-class stamps, raising stamp prices to 49 cents effective Sunday.

Forever stamps can still be purchased for the current price until Sunday and continue to be used after the hike takes effect.

Bulk mail, periodicals, and package service rates will rise 6 percent.
