IN THEIR OWN WORDS: MAYORAL CANDIDATES SHARE THEIR VISIONS FOR TOWN:   Steve Unruh

My name is Steve Unruh. I have lived in Marion for the past five years. I chose to retire here because of the beauty, history, and the freedom from the stresses of the big city.

I see Marion as a beautiful example of small town America. I would like to see it stay that way, but in order to survive as a city, we must grow, and growth requires change.

Just as a mill won’t turn on water that has passed, our city won’t function on the efforts of our predecessors. We, as citizens, must provide the efforts required to grow and change and survive the challenges that face us.

This will mean a lot of work, coordination, and cooperation from you as citizens.

I am ready, willing, and able. If you are too, vote for me. Thank you.
