Several college students form Marion County students received honors that were announced this week:

Bethel College

Nine were named to the dean’s list and three more were named to the honor roll for the spring semester at Bethel College, North Newton.

Goessel sophomore Katherine Flaming, juniors Garrett Hiebert and Brittany Voth, and seniors Evan Fast, Tyler Schroeder, and Kyle Unruh were listed on the dean’s list.

Also on the dean’s list were Hillsboro seniors Peni Ens and Breanna Sauerwein and Peabody senior Michael Unruh.

To qualify, a student had to complete 12 credit hours and attain a grade-point average at least 3.7 out of 4.

Recognized on the honor roll with GPAs of 3.5 to 3.69 were Goessel sophomore Cameron Voth, Goessel junior Courtney Berkholz, and Marion senior Kelly Robinson.

Eastern Mennonite University

Stephanie Ressler, daughter of Lawrence and Sharon Ressler of Hillsboro, graduated summa cum laude (GPA of 3.9 or better) from Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Va.

She received a bachelor of science degree in psychology.

Fort Hays State University

Senior Aaron Yoder was inducted into the national leadership honor society Omicron Delta Kappa at Fort Hays State University.

Yoder is a Hillsboro High School graduate. His parents are Evan and Becky Yoder of rural Peabody.

Newman University

Four were among 358 students on the spring semester dean’s list released by Newman University, Wichita.

Meghan Jost of Hillsboro, Gretchen Berns and Megan Cox of Peabody, and Kristine Jirak of Tampa were included.

To qualify, a student had to complete 12 credit hours and attain a grade-point average at least 3.5 (half A’s and half B’s).
