Irene Richmond was interviewed as part of a surprise party for her 99th birthday at Marion Senior Center.
Rowena Plett, of the Marion County Record, interviewed Richmond in front of senior center patrons for the day’s program while ice cream and cupcakes were served.
Sue Clough led several “old-time” songs. Keith Allison accompanied on piano.
Mary Rogers shared Richmond’s birthday. She brought treats. Jane McCormick brought treats Sept. 4.
Patrons also learned that Jackie Hett and her family will be grand marshals of the Old Settlers’ Day Parade.
A Hatfield Mobility representative will give a program after lunch Sept. 23.
