Tabor hit by vulgar graffiti

Expected college pranks reached a new and destructive level this year as multiple phallic images have been spray-painted throughout campus at Tabor College.

“They were red,” Hillsboro Police chief Dan Kinning said Tuesday. “The four I saw were at least three feet long.” Kinning said the graffiti looked as if a “graphically challenged artist” had painted it.

Two phalluses were painted on an entrance to a campus sports field, and two were on the city water tower. Campus crews have already started removing the lewd pictures.

Tabor College did not make an official complaint about the incident. However, along with the phallic images, the college also reported that someone had moved golf carts around inside of a maintenance shed. An 18x8-inch decorative stone for Wiebe Field was stolen and a 5-foot-tall “welcome” sign was reported missing. A “police parking only” sign was unbolted at its base and switched out with a “resident director” sign on C St.
