The Tampa community has a new resident. Kathrine Jeanne Rziha was born Oct. 14 to David and Caterina Rziha. She was welcomed home by Isabel, 4, and Samuel, 2. Grandparents are Karl and Marla Rozman of Overland Park and Jerry and Jeanne Rziha. Klara Rozman and Bonnie Haslouer are her great-grandmothers.

Dale and Andrea Klenda, Elijah, and Evan; Dennis and Terry Klenda and Tyler, and Teresa Klenda of Pilsen; Lynn and Peggy Kleiber and Nicholas of Salina; and Leona Kleiber attended mass Oct. 16 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church-Holy Family Parish, Pilsen. After services, they attended the baptism of Evan John Klenda. A dinner followed. Evan’s sponsors were Nicholas Kleiber and Denise Wetzel. He was baptized in the baptismal gown his mother, Andrea, wore for her baptism. Andrea’s grandmother, Leona Kleiber, made the gown.

Tom and Dee Duggan were in Marion on Oct. 20 to help decorate Marion Senior Center in preparation of the annual meeting Thursday of Senior Citizens of Marion County. This year’s meeting was a special occasion, celebrating the organization’s 50th anniversary of supporting and assisting senior citizens.

Dinner guests of Frank and Anna Mae Stika on Oct. 16 were Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu and Anna, Tien Antoszyk, Lori Moldenhauer, Nikki Stenzel, and Mark Gifford. They celebrated Lisa’s birthday.

Carl Hubbard of Wellington was a dinner guest Oct. 19 of Adeline Bernhardt.

Susie Rziha of Independence and Cecilia Rziha of Dallas were weekend guests of Jerry and Jeanne Rziha.

Melissa Stuchlik visited her grandmother, Leona Kleiber, on Oct. 19.

Deb and Kaylee Hall of Herington and Tom and Dee Duggan ate supper out Oct. 20 in Lost Springs.

Paul and Edna Backhus attended the wedding of Bob Young and Rebecca Richmond on Oct. 16 at Eastmoor United Methodist Church in Marion. A reception followed at the community center in Pilsen.

Daniel and Melissa Stuchlik and Tanner were hosts of a birthday party and barbecue Oct. 16 at their home in celebration of Allie Stuchlik’s fifth birthday. A decorated ice cream cake and drinks were served. Guests included Terry and Cindy Vinduska of Marion, Sara Vinduska and Matt Fraizer of Moundridge, Ruby Sharping and Mike and Candee Thode of Wichita, Frances Stuchlik, Leona Kleiber, and Monte and Sarah Stuchlik.

Tim and Marchelle Kerbs of Salina came to Tampa on Oct. 16 and took Lucille Kerbs to Salina where they met other relatives and friends at a restaurant to celebrate Deloris Kerbs’ 80th birthday.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Lori Moldenhauer, Nikki Stenzel, Mark Gilford, Lisa Hanschu and Anna, MacKenzie Deines, and Tien Antoszyk attended the wedding of Jon Gehrke and Amanda Rudolph on Oct. 16 in the park at Lincolnville.

Dale and Andrea Klenda, Elijah, and Evan of Pilsen, Lynn Kleiber of Salina, and Leona Kleiber ate supper out Oct. 16 in Lost Springs.

Georgia Spohn met Lenora Graham of Florence on Oct. 15 in Hillsboro. They attended a Learning in Retirement program at Tabor College and ate dinner out. The program featured Steve Wilkens who presented, “Everything You Should Have Learned in Sunday School, But Somehow Did Not.”

Dee Duggan attended a card party Oct. 14 at the home of Rhea Kolling in Herington.

Jeanne Rziha stayed Oct. 8 through 14 in Tulsa caring for Cecilia, Anthony, and Daniel Rziha, while their parents, Wayne and Shannon Rziha, were in Lourdes, France. On Oct. 14, Jeanne went to Independence to celebrate the birthday of her daughter, Susie. She stayed overnight with Susie and came home the next day.

Tom Duggan went to Strong City on Oct. 14 to watch a volleyball game. His granddaughter, Kaylee Hall, played.
