Darla Hall and Adam of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Deb Hall and Kaylee of Herington and Tom and Dee Duggan spent July 2 through 6 in New Mexico. On July 2, they attended a party at the home of Steve and Eileen Becker in Albuquerque to celebrate the 80th birthdays of Tom’s sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Gene Westerhaus. The Duggans and Halls came home by way of Santa Fe and Taos. Younger family members went whitewater rafting.

Several Tampa residents pooled fireworks and lighted them at the ball diamond July 4. Those furnishing fireworks included Greg and Michele Berens and family, Ron and Bret Mueller, Ty and Amber Peterson and family, Tim and Monica Svoboda and family, Larry McCarty, and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki.

Sydney Smith spent July 5 with her great-grandmother, Lucille Kerbs.

Guests of Mike and Jennifer Jay and Cody for a July 4 barbecue were Tom and Bev Reid of Marion, Paul and Edna Backhus, Brad Backhus, Jason Backhus, and Alisha Barney.

Cecilia Marie, Anthony, and Daniel Rziha of Tulsa spent the week with their grandparents, Jerry and Jeanne Rziha.

Guests for a July 4 barbecue at the home of Frank and Anna Mae Stika were Shaina Kremeier of Herington, Mark Gilford and Nikki Stenzel of Manhattan, Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu and Anna, and Lori Moldenhauer.

Don and Shirley Zaideman spent June 30 through July 3 in Freeport, Ill., visiting Shirley’s brother and sister-in-law, Don Paul and Susan Vincent. On July 2, they celebrate Don Paul’s 85th birthday.

Dinner guests of Paul and Edna Backhus on July 3 were Tom and Bev Reid of Marion, Mike and Jennifer Jay and Cody of Hillsboro, Brad Backhus, Jason Backhus, and Alisha Barney. The group celebrated Tom’s birthday.

Dinner guests of Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn on July 3 were Lucille Kerbs and Jesse and Ashton Smith and Sydney.
