Red Hat Society visits Eisenhower library

Members of the Shady Ladies, a chapter of the Red Hat Society, visited the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum on July 19 in Abilene. Those attending included Ramona Goracke and Betty Schlesener of Hope; Rhea Kolling, Rose Mary Deines, Karolyn Schlesener, and Helen Sorenson of Herington; and Ramona Beisel and Dee Duggan.

Glenn Kerbs of Dodge City was a supper and overnight guest July 16 of his mother, Lucille Kerbs. On July 17, they attended the Gooding family reunion in Marion.

Gary and Carole Spohn and Georgia Sphon attended a birthday dinner and auction after morning worship July 17 at the Christian church in Marion.

Tom and Dee Duggan attended a card party July 17 at the Catholic church in Herington.

Jerry and Jeanne Rziha helped their daughter, Cecilia, move into an apartment July 15 and 16 in Oklahoma City.

Ryan and Jamie Spohn and Luke of Lincoln, Neb., Steve and Sheri Spohn of Hope, Gary and Carole Spohn, and Georgia Spohn met July 16 in Manhattan for dinner. Steve, Sheri, and Georgia were meeting Luke for the first time.

Jane Vajnar attended a school reunion July 16 in Durham. Attendees had a social time at a community building in Durham followed by dinner in Hillsboro.

Deb Hall of Herington and Tom and Dee Duggan had supper out together July 17.

Dolores Scott of Emporia, Debbie Dody of Manhattan, Pamela Fillmore of Cottonwood Falls, and Rebecca Nottingham of Ozawkie were July 15 visitors of Tillie Hein. The group ate dinner out and then went to Tillie’s home to visit and share photographs.

Tom and Dee Duggan were evening visitors July 16 of Deb Hall and Kaylee in Herington.

Lucille Kerbs was a July 15 visitor of Connie Thompson. The pair ate dinner out.

Leona Kleiber was a supper guest July 14 of Dale and Andrea Klenda, Eli and Evan.

Irma Benda was a recent visitor of Frank and Anna Mae Stika.
