Tom and Dee Duggan ate dinner out April 7 in Marion. They met Jan Moffitt and Jon Moffitt and Aiden.

Lucy Young of Wichita and Tony Young of Goessel came to Hillsboro April 7 to help Lois Sklenar prepare her new apartment.

Georgia Spohn met Lenora Graham, Paulette Zook, and Mrs. Brunner of Florence April 5 in Hillsboro. They attended Learning in Retirement program at Tabor College, followed by dinner out. Lowell Ratzloff brought a video program about a tour he and his wife took through parts of Africa and Asia. Highlights included wildlife and the world’s tallest building.

Jim and Norma Hein of Valley Center visited Tillie Hein April 5.

Tampa residents have been puzzled by the failure of receiving census forms. Mary Clemmer reported that the Ramona postmaster told her she had received forms but the Tampa and Ramona zip codes were confused. She returned them and others should be coming.

Lucille Kerbs took Lois Sklenar out to dinner April 6 as a farewell to Lois who is moving to Hillsboro.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Lori Moldenhauer, and Lisa Hanschu attended a memorial service for Jeannine Sader of Wichita April 6 at Lewis Cemetery in Ramona. They hosted a luncheon afterward. Fifty relatives attended. In her teens, Jeannine lived for a while with her grandmother, Anna Sader, in Ramona and attended Centre High School. She was the daughter of Leroy and Mona Sader.

Tim Kerbs came to Tampa April 4 and took his mother, Lucille Kerbs, to Salina. Other Easter dinner guests of Tim and Marchelle Kerbs were April Kerbs; Mark Reidy, Cierra, and Josh; Molly Kerbs; and Raymond Deiser. The children were treated to an Easter egg hunt. Later, cake and ice cream were served in celebration of Mark’s birthday. Later, Tim and Marchelle brought Lucille home.

Easter dinner guests of Paul and Edna Backhus were Phyllis Mueller, Rod Mueller, Don and Ophelia Jacobson, Greg Jacobson, Brad and Jason Backhus, Kelsie Penner, Bev and Tom Reid, and Mike and Jennifer Jay and Cody. Afternoon visitors were John and Wanda Lewis, Paul, Luke, and Sarah. There was an egg hunt for Cody.

Guests of Jerry and Jeanne Rziha April 3 and 4 were Wayne and Shannon Rziha, Cecilia, Anthony, and Daniel of Tulsa, Okla.; Julie Rziha; John and Jeanne Rziha, Michael, Christopher, Joseph, Timothy, Thomas, Charles, and Anna of Atchison; Susie Rziha of Independence; and Cecilia Rziha of Dallas. Other guests were Bonnie Haslouer and Gene Arnold of Abilene.

Greg Sklenar and his friend, Barb, of Wichita, spent Easter with Lois Sklenar. They took dinner to Valerie Hampton in Hillsboro.

Kathy and Carl Hubbard of Wellington were Easter dinner guests of her mother, Adeline Bernhardt.

Tillie Hein stayed April 3 and 4 with Bill and Pamela Fillmore of Cottonwood Falls. Additional Easter guests were Rebecca Nottingham, Daniel, Rex, and Emily of Ozawkie and Dolores Scott of Emporia.

Nearly 40 children participated in an Easter egg hunt April 3 at Tampa Park. Winners of a drawing for Easter baskets were Kadon Goldsby and Adi Tajchman in the 2 and younger group; Sarah David and Charlie Rziha, 3- and 4-year-olds; Caily Barney and Thomas Rziha, 5- through 7-year-olds; and Addie Berens, and Seth Bielefeld, 8- through 10-year-olds.

Lucille Kerbs went to Abilene April 2 and visited Connie Thompson, Allison, and Taylor. They went out for dinner.

Michael Rziha of Atchison stayed the week of March 29 through April 3 with his grandparents, Jerry and Jeanne Rziha.
