Tanner Stuchlik had a cheering section June 16 at his tee-ball game. Members included Daniel and Melissa Stuchlik and Allie of Pilsen; Terry and Cindy Vinduska of Marion; Sara Vinduska of Fayetteville, N.C.; Matt Fraiser of Charlotte, N.C.; and Monty and Sarah Stuchlik, Ross and Megan Stuchlik, Adeline Bernhardt, and Leona Kleiber.
Sydney Smith of Pilsen stayed June 16 with her great-grandmother, Lucille Kerbs.
Jim Srajer, Grant, and Cole and Aaron Barney went to Kansas City June 16 for a Royals baseball game.
Tampa’s coach-pitch baseball team won its game June 15 against Lincolnville.
Cecilia Marie, Anthony, and Daniel Rziha of Tulsa are staying with their grandparents, Jerry and Jeanne Rziha, while their parents, Wayne and Shannon, are in Houston where Shannon is undergoing medical tests. David and Caterina Rziha, Isabel, and Samuel also are staying there while their house is being prepared.
The men’s softball team won both games June 13 against Marion. The team’s new T-shirts have the letters “JC” in memory of Tampa’s late mayor, Jim Clemmer. Team members presented a shirt to Clemmer’s widow, Mary.
Descendants of John, Gerhard, and William Backhus gathered for a reunion June 13 at Tampa Senior Center.
Barney and Linda Bernhardt of Wichita visited his mother, Adeline Bernhardt, June 13.
Tom and Dee Duggan and Adeline Bernhardt attended a fun night June 13 at Ramona Senior Center.

Among those attending a dance recital June 11 in Herington were Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Lori Moldenhauer, Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu, Jim Weber, Elie Miller, and Tien Antoszyk. They watched Anna Weber perform a ballet solo in memory of her brother, James. Photographs of James and his family were shown on a screen.
Adeline Bernhardt attended the 50th anniversary celebration for Charles and Anita Hummel on June 12 in Hope.
Several Tampa residents attended a buffet supper June 12 in Durham in celebration of Verlin and Ann Sommerfeld’s 50th anniversary.
Jeanne Rziha stayed June 2 through 9 in Chippewa Falls, Wis., visiting Emilio and Janie Aita, Antonio, and Sebastian and Jim and Diane Herron, Andrew, Peter, Maria, John, and Michael. Janie graduated cum laude with a master’s degree in pastoral theology.
Tom and Dee Duggan attended a swim meet June 12 and watched their granddaughter, Kaylee Hall, compete. The night before, they attended a dance recital in Herington in which Kaylee performed.
The Duggans attended the golden wedding anniversary for the Hummels on June 12 in Hope then went to Herington for a birthday celebration for Verl and Karolyn Schlesener.
Lucille Kerbs was among relatives and friends who attended a surprise party June 10 in celebration of Mildred Steinle’s 85th birthday in Hillsboro. Refreshments were served and gifts were opened.
