Most Tampa people, as well as relatives and friends from a distance, attended visitation Sunday evening of Reuben Kerbs. Many also attended his funeral Monday. All of Reuben and Lucille’s children and siblings came and spent some time with Lucille. Kerbs was a lifelong resident of this community and will be sadly missed by all.
Sunflower Senior Citizens met Tuesday at the senior center with Gary and Carole Spohn as hosts. Eleanor Herbel presented a program about changes in nursing homes during her years as a nurse. The group took a President’s Day quiz with Eleanor winning the prize. Others in attendance were Willis Herbel, Jim and Mary Clemmer, Leona Kleiber, Shirley Zaideman, Frank Patton, Don and Carol Zaideman, Tom and Dee Duggan, Adeline Bernhardt, and Jane Vajnar. Tom, Dee, Willis, Adeline, and Shirley won door prizes.
Georgia Spohn met Lenora Graham of Florence Tuesday for dinner out in Hillsboro.
Deb Hall and Kaylee of Herington and Tom and Dee Duggan enjoyed dinner out Tuesday evening in Herington as an early Valentine’s Day celebration.
Linda Ihde, Edna Mueller, Tillie Hein, and Adeline Bernhardt attended game night Sunday at Ramona Senior Center.
Tom and Dee Duggan also attended the event.
Gary and Carole Spohn and Georgia Spohn met Ryan Spohn of Manhattan Sunday for dinner out in Junction City.
Adeline Bernhardt and Leona Kleiber enjoyed dinner out Friday in Salina.
Jeanne Rziha spent from Feb. 1 through Feb. 5 with Wayne and Shannon Rziha, Cecilia Marie, Anthony, and Daniel in Tulsa, Okla.
Lori Moldenhauer and Anna Mae Stika went to Newton Saturday for dinner out and shopping.
Tom and Dee Duggan went to Herington Friday to pick-up their granddaughter, Kaylee Hall, and brought her to Tampa. Kaylee was an overnight guest. Saturday morning they took her to Lincolnville where she boarded a bus with other Girl Scouts for a scout outing.
Adeline Bernhardt visited Lucille Kerbs and her guests, Glenn and Eloise Kerbs, Thursday.
Lutheran Women’s Missionary League met Feb. 4, in the church basement with Adeline Bernhardt as hostess. Pastor Clark Davis gave the topic and Joyce Medley led opening and closing devotions. Others in attendance were Kathy Davis, Cindy Bentz, Janet Bielefeld, Leona Kleiber, Edna Mueller, and Edna Backhus.
