Tom and Dee Duggan went to Herington Tuesday afternoon and enjoyed a train ride to and from Herington by way of Waldeck.

Prairie Pals met Monday evening at the home of Iona Dietrich with Melissa Stuchlik as assisting hostess. Others present were Laveta Meyer, Virginia Bentz, Eunice Steiner, Mary Clemmer, and Jeanne Rziha.

Wayne and Shannon Rziha, Cecilia, Anthony, and Daniel of Tulsa, Okla., were weekend guests of Jerry and Jeanne Rziha.

Tom and Dee Duggan’s grandson, Adam Hall of Lee’s Summit, Mo., went to Florida last week with his broadcasting class to participate in a national competition. Adam and his teammate won second in the nation for the production of a broadcast video suitable for television.

Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole and Tillie Hein spent the weekend in Omaha, Nebr., where they joined other relatives for a celebration of Donald’s 70th birthday.

Jim and Mary Clemmer joined family and friends Sunday for a celebration of Dora Holub’s 85th birthday in Marion. They also celebrated the birthdays of Ryan, Meaghan, and Abigail Sutton. The Suttons are mutual great-grandchildren of Mrs. Holub and the Clemmers.

Paul and Edna Backhus were among guests for a fish fry Saturday evening at the home of Ralph and Wanda Richmond in Marion.

Lori Moldenhauer and Anna Mae Stika attended a memorial service for Tim Steinborn Saturday afternoon in Ramona. Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu also attended, and Lisa sang.

Connie Thompson, Allison and Taylor of Abilene picked-up Lucille Kerbs and Rustyn Kerbs Saturday to go to Great Bend, where they spent the night. On Sunday, they went on to Hoisington for a volleyball tournament. Taylor played on a team coached by her sister, Allison, with help from Rustyn. Doug Thompson joined them. Taylor’s team took second place.

Sunflower Senior Citizens were hosts Friday morning of the county senior citizens’ board meeting. Following the meeting, all enjoyed dinner at the café. Tampa people attending were Tom and Dee Duggan, Jim Clemmer, Adeline Bernhardt, and Jane Vajnar.

Tom and Dee Duggan attended a memorial service for Dorothy Clay Saturday morning in Herington. In the afternoon, they attended the memorial service for Tim Steinborn at Ramona.

Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki went to Wichita Friday for dinner out and shopping.

April Kerbs of Salina spent Thursday with her grandmother, Lucille Kerbs. Ashton Kerbs and Sydney also came, and they joined Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn for dinner at the café.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki enjoyed supper out March 18 in Herington before attending church that evening.

Adeline Bernhardt and Edna Mueller were dinner guests March 15 of Leona Kleiber.

Your correspondent is hanging her head. She has learned of a rather large number of errors in the account of the World Day of Prayer events at the Lutheran church. Here is the item, as it should have appeared: Members of the Saint John’s Lutheran Women’s Missionary League were hosts for the annual World Day of Prayer Service and salad supper March 5 at the church in Tampa. Women of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ramona and Saint John’s enjoyed an evening of food, fellowship, and worship. Those attending included Pastor Clark Davis, Kathy Davis, Barb Hanschu, Jean Brunner, Leona Deines, Joy Sarapa, Leola Neuschafer, Gertrude Moennich, Lucille Kerbs, Shirley Zaideman, Don and Carol Zaideman, LaDonna Klein, Ann Sommerfeld, Edna Backhus, Cindy Bentz, Michele Berens, Adeline Bernhardt, Janet Bielefeld, Leona Kleiber, Betty Mueller and Edna Mueller.
