Sophia Josephine, infant daughter of Tim and Amanda Baxa of Wichita, was baptized Nov. 27, by Father John F. Jirak, pastor of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Wichita. Sophia’s sponsors were Dale and Andrea Klenda. After the baptism, Sophia’s parents were hosts for a dinner in the church dining hall for the following guests: Raymond and Jane Baxa and Pat Baxa, Jerrick and Jared of Cuba, Lynn and Peggy Kleiber and Nick of Salina, Dale and Andrea Klenda, Eli and Evan of Pilsen, Leona Kleiber ofTampa, Becky Routh of Augusta, John and Sara Baxa and children of Colwich, Eloy and Andrea Mendoza, Katherine and Layla, Derby, and Les Augustine of Wichita.

Prairie Pals met Nov. 29 in the church basement with Jeanne Rziha and Jane Vajnar as hostesses. Aaron Herbel gave a program about cheese-making. Others present were Michelle Berens, Mary Clemmer, Iona Dietrich and Laveta Meyer.

Connie Thompson of Abilene came to Tampa Nov. 29 to help her mother, Lucille Kerbs, put up her outdoor Christmas decorations. They went to Abilene for dinner at Connie’s home.

Georgia Spohn met Lenora Graham and Paulette Zook of Florence in Hillsboro Monday for the Learning in Retirement Christmas coffee and dinner.

Tom and Lori Moldenhauer were Sunday evening visitors of Frank and Anna Mae Stika.

Visitors of Adeline Bernhardt during the week were Lucille Kerbs, Edna Mueller, Leona Kleiber, Don Witt and Donna Bundy.

Glenn Kerbs of Dodge City was a Saturday overnight guest of his mother, Lucille Kerbs. They attended the Tampa alumni banquet, where both of their graduating classes were honored. They enjoyed dinner out in Hillsboro on Sunday before Glenn returned home.

Lucilie Kerbs was a Sunday visitor of Lois Sklenar.

Thanksgiving weekend guests of Phyllis and Rod Mueller were Michael and Sheila Mueller, Thomas, Sage and Dane of Laramie, Wyo., and Ron and Jody Heath, Danielle and Tyler of Salina.

Bill and Pamela Fillmore of Cottonwood Falls and Jim Srajer brought Thanksgiving dinner to Tillie Hein.

Lisa Hanschu was a Saturday dinner guest of her parents, Frank and Anna, and put up their indoor Christmas decorations. Her sister, Lori Moldenhauer, put up the outdoor decorations earlier.

Thanksgiving weekend guests of Tom and Dee Duggan were Daria Hall and Adam of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Deb Hall and Kaylee of Herington.

Steve and Sheri Spohn of Hope, Leo and Sue Yanda, Gary and Carole Spohn and Georgia Spohn had Thanksgiving dinner in Salina.

Thanksgiving dinner guests of Paul and Edna Backhus were Don and Ophelia Jacobson and Greg of Hope, Michael and Sheila Mueller, Thomas, Sage, and Dane of Laramie, Wyo., Mike and Jenny Jay and Cody of Hillsboro, Bev and Tom Reid of Marion, Ron and Jody Heath, Danielle and Tyler of Salina, Brad Backhus and Phyllis Mueller and Rod. Afternoon visitors were John and Wanda Lewis, Paul, Sarah and Luke of Andover, Jason Backhus and Alisha Barney.

Lucille Kerbs and Russ and Julie Kerbs joined other family members for Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Reuben and Cristy Kerbs, Charlotte and R.J. in Wichita. Other guests were Rustyn Kerbs of Hillsboro, Jesse and Ashton Kerbs and Sydney of Pilsen, Glenn Kerbs of Dodge City, Eloise Kerbs of Lawrence, Clayton and Leah Kerbs of Topeka, Molly Kerbs and Raymond Deiser of Salina, Connie Thompson and Jeremy and Allison Sluder of Abilene.

Don Witt and Donna Bundy brought Thanksgiving dinner to Adeline Bernhardt.

Guests of Jerry and Jeanne Rziha during the Thanksgiving weekend were Julie Rziha and John and Jeanne Rziha, Michael, Christopher, Joseph, Timothy, Thomas, Charles, Anna and Henry of Atchison, Wayne Rziha, Cecilia, Anthony and Daniel of Tulsa, Okla., Cecilia Rziha of Oklahoma City, Okla., and David and Catarina Rziha, Isabel, Samuel and Kathrine.

Thanksgiving dinner and supper guests of Frank and Anna Mae Stika were Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki, and Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu and Anna.

Dean and Becky Routh of Augusta came to Tampa Nov. 23 to help Leona Kleiber put up outdoor Christmas decorations. She accompanied them back to Augusta to spend the weekend with Dean and Becky Routh, Danielle and Melody, who was home from Lakeland College in Florida for the Thanksgiving vacation. Dean Routh brought Leona home Sunday and helped with indoor holiday decorations.
