Because of Feb. 5 being Super Bowl Sunday, Tampa game night has been changed to 7 p.m. Sunday at the senior center.

A group of community women met for breakfast in the back room of the café Thursday morning while some of their husbands occupied the front room. They decided to make this a regular event for the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 9 a.m. All are welcome to attend.

Connie Thompson of Abilene and Tim Kerbs of Salina took their mother, Lucille Kerbs, to
Wichita on Tuesday for cataract surgery. On their return to Tampa, Russ Kerbs joined them for a visit. Connie was an overnight guest.

Donald and Carolyn Srajer of Omaha, Neb., left Tampa on Jan. 17 for Arizona, where they plan to spend the winter. They spent a week here visiting Tillie Hein and Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole. A highlight of their visit was the opportunity to take in some of Grant’s basketball games.

Tom and Dee Duggan attended the soup dinner sponsored by the Catholic church in Hope on Sunday. Tom also attended a Knights of Columbus meeting at Hope that evening.

Rustyn Kerbs of Hillsboro, Russ and Julie Kerbs, and Lucille Kerbs were among those attending Sydney Smith’s fourth birthday party Saturday afternoon at the home of her parents, Jesse and Ashton Smith of Pilsen. Birthday cupcakes and ice cream were served, and the group watched Sydney open her gifts.

Don Witt and Donna Bundy were Friday evening visitors of Adeline Bernhardt.

Tom and Dee Duggan were among those attending the PRIDE meeting Thursday evening.

Glenn Kerbs of Dodge City picked up his mother, Lucille Kerbs, Friday and took her to Topeka, where he had a meeting to attend. Lucille spent the afternoon with her sister, Cecile Penney. She also saw Jolene Weyand and Kevin Weyand and Brandon.

Autumn Chisholm and Jane Vajnar were among those attending the monthly meeting of King’s Daughters at Durham Baptist Church Thursday evening. Joan Gerringer and Wanda West were welcomed into the group as new members. Officers installed for 2012 were Donna Diener, president; Edie Ollenburger, vice president; Dorene Joy, secretary; and Marcella Mohn, treasurer. Velma Wuthnow and Anita Schmidt were hostesses.

Tom and Dee Duggan met their grandson, Adam Hall of Springfield, Mo., at Ottawa on Jan. 11 and had lunch with him. They attended game night at Ramona Jan. 8. The Duggans visited Darla Hall and Adam at Lee’s Summit, Mo., the weekend of Jan. 7 and 8.
