Tampa welcomes a new citizen — in the mayor’s family, no less. Zoey Jordyn Svoboda was born Jan. 26 to Tim and Monica Svoboda. She weighed 8 lbs., 15 ounces and measured 21 inches. She is welcomed by three brothers, Houston, 17; Max, 12; and Aiden, 9. Grandparents are Bernita Aumiller of Selden, Barbara Svoboda of Lincolnviile and the late Orris Aumiller and Gerald Svoboda.

Work has begun on the renovations at the senior center. Funding for the project began with a $2,500 grant John Hajek was awarded by Monsanto. This was supplemented by a donation of $15,000 all the way from California.
