Lucille Kerbs visited Jeremy and Allison Sluder in Abilene on March 3, and they went out for dinner.
Nicholas Kleiber of Concordia visited his grandmother, Leona Kleiber, on March 3 and did some chores for her. He also spent some time with Dale and Andrea Klenda, Elijah and Evan.
Jane Vajnar met Janet Bryant and Sue Clough in Marion on March 3 and attended the Irish supper and entertainment at the community center. Performers were Wichita Caledonian Pipes and Drums, Corry Academy of Irish Dancing, and Knocknasheega Celtic Band.
Georgia Spohn met Lenora Graham and Paulette Zook of Florence in Hillsboro on March 2. They attended the Learning in Retirement program at Tabor College and enjoyed dinner out. Lee and Di Suderman and Steve Vincent brought a program about Dan Fuller’s biography of his father, Charles Fuller, “Give the Winds a Mighty Voice,” and recreated a segment of “The Old-Fashioned Revival Hour.”
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League enjoyed a salad supper and World Day of Prayer service March 1 with Michele Berens and Janet Bielefeld as hostesses. Pastor Clark Davis and Joyce Medley led the prayer service with other LWML members participating. The group also sang a number of hymns. Others present were Sharon Mueller of Hillsboro, Leona Deines and Paula Morgan of Ramona, Loretta Sutton from Texas, Lucille Kerbs, Edna Backhus, Leona Kleiber, Adeline Bernhardt, Kathy Davis, Betty Mueller and Addie Berens.
