At the Wheat State League cross-country meet Thursday at Burrton, Centre varsity runner CJ Thompson finished sixth and was named all-league.

With a time of 18 minutes, 9 seconds, Thompson finished 12th of 60 runners in a combination WSL and Heart of the Plains League meet.

Junior varsity runner Tanner Wiggans finished 50th and was 27th in WSL. Kate Basore finished 22nd and had a 12th-place finish in WSL.

The regional meet is Saturday at Wichita.
