Truman L. Slatten, 68, of Peabody died Friday at Peabody Care Center. He was born May 19, 1945, in Liberal to Frank and Wennona Lubbers Slatten.
He lived in Missouri for many years before moving to Peabody. He was a farmer, mechanic, and truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Tammy Slatten; a brother, Kenneth; and three stepsons, Darren, Daniel, and Derrek Hopkins.
He is survived by his wife, Donna of Peabody; a son, John of Boliver, Mo.; two daughters, Kathy Stark of Haysville and Samantha Hudson of Boliver; two brothers, Herman of Tyrone, Okla., and Robert of Lefors, Texas; a sister, Sandra Trimble of Fort Worth, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
The funeral was Tuesday at Peabody Christian Church. Interment was to be at 11 a.m. today at the Tyrone Cemetery in Oklahoma. Visitaiton was Monday at Lamb Funeral Home in Whitewater.
