Ty Simons receives senior citizens scholarship

Ty Simons of Lincolnville, a Centre High School senior, has been awarded a $500 scholarship from Senior Citizens of Marion County.

The SCMC board awards this scholarship each year to a Marion County high school senior who is pursuing a degree in medicine, nursing, therapy, social work, or gerontology.

Simons plans to earn a degree in pre-physical therapy.
