in Marion County

Marion County visitors can attend several events over the next few weeks.

• Aulne will have a Independence Day Celebration Sunday. There will be music by Bob & the Boys starting at 7 p.m., an ice cream social at 8 p.m., and fireworks will begin at dark.
• Peabody will have its annual July 4th celebration. There will be activities all day in the park, a parade at 5 p.m. on Walnut Street, and fireworks at dusk.
• Ramona will also host a July 4th celebration. The festivities begin with a 10-K run at 7:30 a.m. The James Weber three-on-three basketball tournament is one of many events during the afternoon. A parade will take place 6 p.m. There will be a kids tractor pull and other children’s games after the parade. The band, Justus, will provide evening entertainment.
• Marion will have a Garden Tour in Marion and Florence starting a 9 a.m. and car show starting at 10 a.m. July 7.
• Threshing Days is a three day celebration Aug. 3 through 5 of antique farm equipment in Goessel. A parade, antique tractor pull, and farming demonstrations are some of the attractions at the event.
