V. Imogene Klein

V. Imogene Klein, 79, Lyons, died Nov. 14, 2008, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. She was a homemaker and insurance company secretary and bookkeeper.

Born Aug. 5, 1929 in Geneseo, she was the daughter of Wesley and Dorothea Schroeder Van Arsdale.

She married Louis L. Harrison on May 1, 1948 in Oregon. On July 21, 1967, she married former Marion resident Donald D. Klein in Lyons. He survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, four sisters, and a grandson.

Survivors include her husband of the home; three sons, Edward Harrison of Denver, Colo., Wes and Teri Harrison of Rossville, and Dexter and Connie Harrison of Dickinson, Texas; four daughters, Lynda wood of Lyons, Roxanne and Thom Pool of Wichita, Susan and Gary Smith of Lyons, and Jayne and Larry Young of Wichita; three sisters, Dolores Briles of Kaiser, Ore., Edna Bing of Casper, Wyo., and Hannah Lee Christopherson of Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with Susan Smith presiding.

Burial was in Geneseo Cemetery.

Memorial funds have been established with Grace Lutheran Church of Lyons or Promise Hospital respiratory therapy department in care of the funeral home.
